People-Powered
Many companies are considering alternative resources for power these days and advertising themselves as “green” for doing so, but Vivisimo wants everyone to know that their power supply is truly unique. “People-Powered” is the marketing slogan that I employed in materials for a printed magazine ad and a trade show booth.
Due to the social nature of Vivisimo’s Velocity search engine, which allows users to contribute to content in various manners, the company had used imagery of connected hands in prior marketing materials. To enhance the charged aspect of the “People-Powered” slogan while remaining in tune with Vivisimo’s prior marketing imagery, my task was to visually integrate hands holding a pair of jumper cables with a typical search box to illustrate the “People-Powered” nature of Velocity. Initiating meaningful conversation regarding the social elements that the search engine offers and how those elements might benefit an organization was my goal. An electrifying challenge, the advertisement was a huge success.
The design process for this included concept sketches, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
