Project Management

With a name like The Adventure Museum, who needs marketing, right? Not quite. The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, who hosted the interactive piece created by Team 6S — a group of three developers and three designers who imagined and brought The Adventure Museum to life, recognized that the key to success was a tight marketing campaign that generated groundswell for their exciting new exhibit. With that in mind, they called me to serve as the project’s producer.

As producer I established weekly meetings to discuss progress on tasks and assign future ones. I created a Google Group where team members shared thoughts and files while discussing weekly objectives to efficiently streamline this process. The project had an aggressive timeline, and making sure there was solid communication was a crucial component to its success. As producer, every piece of design, development and production timeframe was under my control. I also contributed to writing portions of the code within Flash.

Under my solid management and great success, I was recognized with a Student of the Quarter award from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
